the dark side of nyfw

alas, fashion week is coming to a close.  and on valentine's day no less, as if we needed another reason to loathe this day.  the collections have been amazing and if we've learned anything it's that color is out, thighs are in, and fur is a must.  but the jewelry is what we're really here to swoon over this week and the jennifer fisher presentation at barney's pgave plenty of opportunities to do just that.  she debuted her fall 2013 collection, which she called the dark side, and i gotta say it made a pretty strong case for crossing over.  the collection was everything that i want from my fall jewelry.  there were arrows, there were spikes, there were chains, there was gunmental, it was strong, it was edgy, and it was huge.  jennifer fisher took what we all love about her bright, gold statement jewelry and translated it perfectly for the season of darker hues and rampant layering.  the jewelry is so bold and stunning that it's destined to be the star of your outfit even if you do have layering down to the man repeller's science.  the barney's on madison has a capsule collection of the jewelry available now so go to the dark side and get your bare hands and wrists covered already, it's cold out there.

from the window.  no one wears jennifer fisher jewelry better than jennifer fisher herself.

from the window.  how good is that spike ring?

from the window.  nail head bracelets and chains galore.

from the window.  a closeup of the rings.  i've said it once and i'll say it again, i need more fingers.

from the window.  the gypsy finger ring goes to the dark side.  i would suffer through the nightmare that is getting bracelets through coat sleeves for these beauties.

Oh dear. I will be saying that 'again' from this point forth as well.

    Great sentiment.

Looking forward to the days of genetic mutilation.

I wish I could see some of these pieces more closely, but they do look pretty damn sharp.

The ring on the model's right hand in the 4th pic is my fav. Love those long-cross-multiple-finger horizontal stick rings.
