howdy from the road! molly and i trekked over to austin to try to do our part to keep it weird and to soak in some local culture. by the end of the weekend molly was y'alling and yeehawing with the best of them. we started our tour of austin on south congress and obviously fell in love with everything we saw because let's be real, what's not to love? from the food trucks to the amazing antiques to the vintage mecca that is
feathers, it's a goldmine of cute. the next day we took on burnet road and guadalupe street and we ended our tour with a trip to red bud isle on lake austin where ghosty proved that despite being a city dog she's got some serious swimming chops. and we did it all in new vintage duds we scooped up along the way. i've said it
once, i'll say it again, it's all about shopping local!

sadly molly and i had to part ways after austin. she had to get back to real life and i had to get westward ho once more out on the open road. i didn't get very far as i decided that our next stop would be san antonio. blame it on my constant hankering for mexican food. i showed ryan the sights and tried to instill a little texan pride in him. after the alamo, some of the best tex-mex in the world, and a little chicken fried steak i think it worked! next stop, marfa. gotta keep that texan pride going!
