or is it jewellry across the pond? well no matter how you spell it london fashion week had it and it was good. really good. from the runways to the streets, london was teeming with jewelry inspiration of the statement making kind. london reaffirmed what we have already learned from new york that bigger is better and less is certainly not more. to me the discernible difference between the new york and london set seems to be in the layering. in new york we saw a bit more of the pile on and in london one or two great pieces were allowed to speak for themselves. you will notice that a good portion of the london street style photos below are from in detail, the amazing beanie major's jewelry blog. her photos from lfw are stunning and what's featured here is only a smattering. get over there and swoon already.

in rounding up these pictures of the amazing jewelry on display outside the tents at this month's nyfw i came to the shocking realization that one of the most prevalent trends of this fall was actually no jewelry at all. i'm going to chalk this up to the fact that it's winter and with a thousand layers on, at least one of which is fur, it's hard to even think about jewelry sometimes. alls i'm saying is that the street style snaps from the spring 2013 shows offered a slew of jewelry inspiration while fall 2013 has required a little more digging. luckily i don't mind the hunt.
